This municipal project consisted of cleaning and degreasing of all coated surfaces, SSPC-SP 3 (Power Tool Cleaning), priming, and coating with various types of products specific to each coated substrate. The products used have properties that include resistance to chemical spills, UV protection, and chemical bonding

I pressure washed this deck and sanded the boards before applying a one coat finish of Armstrong and Clark oil based sequoia semi solid stain. Located in the beautiful hills of Huasna.

This home had oxidated paint or chalking paint, a faded appearance that has lost its sheen and is deteriorating. I repainted the walls, gutters, window trim, down spouts, and doors.

This Wooden garage door was peeling and had fading color. I stripped it to bare wood and applied two coats of UV protection oil which will never peel or flake and can be easily reapplied without the need for sanding in 3-4 years, reducing maintenance cost.

This pergola was covered in moss and the color was fading. I cleaned all of the moss off and stained the pergola with 2 coats of a dark solid acrylic stain

This dutch-door is made of Sapele, an African hardwood known for its red or purple color. Overtime the UV’S will turn the wood blonde. To refinish this type of wood it has to be stripped of any old finish and through the top layer of wood until the inner color came out. Once a finish sand was completed two coats of UV protection oil were applied as the door manufacturer recommended.

This wooden garage door was peeling and color was fading. The door was stripped of the old finish and brought to a finish sand grit. Two coats of UV protection oil were applied.

These doors were faded due to UV exposure. I sanded the doors and wood pane details before applying two coats of a clear UV protection oil.

Another option for refinishing Douglas Fir doors is a spar urethane varnish. The downside to this finish is that it will peal and crack with exterior UV exposure in about 3-4 years if the finish is not supplimented with an additional cost every 1-2 years.

This historic home in San Luis Obispo had not been painte in over 15 years. There was significant oxidzation of the paint and required scraping, priming, and caulking to get the surfaces to a paintable condition. These retoration projects our some of my favorite.

This Douglas Fir Door had a cracking and peeling spar urethane varnish finish. I sanded the old finish and reapplyed a spar urethane varnish with three coats. This finishing system will need to be supplemented with a light sanding and an additional cost every 1-2 years to maintain clarity and resist cracking.

This stucco home in Avila Beach had never been painted. The exterior stucco was first coated with a masonry primer followed by two coats of paint. The gutters and downspouts were painted as well.

This adu became vacant after the old tenant wasn't using the fan or opening the window on the bathroom for ventilation. As a result the bathroom was covered in mold and had to be cleaned as well as primed with a mold killing primer. The whole unit was subsequently painted.
